TAROT IS LIKE A PORE STRIP
So here’s the Tea… I’ve never considered myself to be a spiritual person, because growing up I never subscribed to the idea of religion. It was weird and a little scary to me. As I grew older I became more open to the idea of spirituality when I realized I didn’t have to limit myself to one specific or solitary belief system . For me, spirituality is fluid and can encompass a vast amount of ideologies and beliefs…and that is pretty badass! Spirituality for me, is directly rooted in compassion, joy & love- and that’s really all you need to know ☺ However, the messages I relay via Tarot are more along the lines of a Life Coaching Session. “Religion” has as little or as much to do with it as you desire, because it is your story being put under the microscope for analysis. After all, you know your story best, and where faith or spiritually does or does not come into play. I have no desire or intention to push any story or ideology upon you. Hooray! And for those still wondering… No, tarot is *not the work of The Devil, and no, it is *Not Fortune Telling. I am NOT here to look into a crystal ball and tell you your future. I do not have that ability. Nor do I plan to look at your situation and tell you how you must fix it, or what the best course of action is. I am not a doctor, a therapist or a lawyer. I am however an empath, and it is my calling is to help others who are going through a difficult time and offer them kindness compassion and encouragement. With the cards that come up in a reading, I can help guide you. But you are the one who must take action. Tarot can be a fantastic catalyst to getcha movin’!
To be honest, What I do is similar to what a pore strip does on a greasy patch of skin. I bring things to the surface that have always been within you, but allow you to see them in a new light. Blackheads on a pore strip symbolically are like the messages that come out in a Tarot Reading. It’s not always pretty, we do not always like to acknowledge what is there, but ultimately it highlights and illuminates the “gunk” that might be holding us back in our lives. It is your choice how to move forward with this “gunk” or information. If we stick with this “pore strip” analogy… Do you choose to use a makeup concealer, so you can feel more confident and/or less self-conscious? Do you implement a new facial-wash regiment to tackle the problem directly? Do you choose to stay inside all the time because you’re too embarrassed or humiliated to be seen? Do you do research online to learn more about skin care? Or do you choose to embrace this flaw and live your life proudly and unapologetically- black heads and all? To be clear, these are all completely valid options, (though some more healthy than others). But ultimately the options become available to you once you recognize the actual source of the problem. So with Tarot Messages, Do you choose to take action? Do you choose to do the work to improve the situation at hand? Or do you choose to stay in the status quo? (Again, all valid options) The power always rests in the hands of the querent (the person seeking a tarot reading). Tarot is simply one tool to bring about information that has always existed within us, but sometimes it is buried so deep in there, we need assistance getting it out and to the surface. Hello, I am your Pore strip! ☺
Sometimes just hearing our feeling validated by a tarot reading is enough. Sometimes having that emotional support from a complete stranger with an unbiased viewpoint, can be quite valuable. More than anything, Tarot has taught me that we are all connected. Sometimes we can feel so isolated and alone on our journeys, particularly during the times of struggle that truly test of our faith, strength, emotions, mind, body and spirit. Happily, this is simply not true – we are not alone. In fact, many people are walking down a similar path, if not the exact same one! We all have universal stories, and that is exactly what the tarot is about. Every card in the tarot deck depicts situations we may come in contact with throughout our lives. It is on “The Fool’s Journey” through difficult, challenging, exciting and victorious moments on his path, that he obtains important knowledge and life lessons. Tarot enlightens us and offers the possibility to forge connections and bonds with those going through similar ups and downs. Ultimately Tarot makes us realize we are not alone. We are all a part of the same universal story and network. Information we get from an external source (a reading, a reader, Spirit, Universe, God, Goddess, Angels, Fairies, Lions, Tigers & Bears… oh my!) ultimately pushes you to look within and find your own answers and actions. The power to heal, grow, develop, change & transform is within us all. Sometimes we just need a nudge in the right direction.
